Simplifia acquires Elektronik Printing in the DACH region
Simplifia, a leading software provider in the funeral industry, announces the acquisition of Elektronik Printing, an Austrian company specialising in personalised funeral product printing solutions. This transaction further reinforces Simplifia’s position as a pan-European leader and marks the third acquisition since CAPZA became a minority shareholder in 2024.
Over the last 25 years, Elektronik Printing has established itself as a major player in Austria, Germany and South Tyrol. Its offering includes high-quality printed materials such as service booklets, memorial books and funeral posters, delivered through recurring contracts. These solutions enable funeral professionals to deliver meaningful, personalised tributes that honour families during moments of remembrance. Serving more than 800 funeral homes in total, including over 400 in Germany, the company holds a dominant position in Austria, where around 75% of funeral homes rely on its solutions.
Following the strategic acquisitions of Marc Justin and NemBedemand, this latest transaction in the DACH region significantly extends Simplifia’s reach across France, Denmark, Austria, Germany and South Tyrol. This expanded European footprint, combined with a loyal customer base of over 1,600 funeral homes, consolidates the group’s position as a trusted partner for funeral professionals in a highly fragmented market, while paving the way for continued growth.
“This acquisition represents a significant step in our European growth journey. By partnering with Elektronik Printing, a trusted leader with over 25 years of expertise in the funeral sector and a highly loyal customer base, we strengthen our foundation to build on existing relationships and bring Simplifia’s comprehensive suite of solutions to the DACH region, now supporting more than 210,000 bereaved families every year,” said Baptiste Dhaussy, Co-founder of Simplifia.
“We are proud to support Simplifia in executing its buy-and-build strategy and driving European expansion. This acquisition illustrates Simplifia’s ability to pursue strategic growth while remaining committed to its mission of enabling funeral professionals to serve bereaved families with care, efficiency and innovation,” commented Matthieu Dordolo, Partner & Head of CAPZA Growth Tech.
