Simplifia acquires NemBedemand in Denmark
Simplifia, a leading software provider in the funeral industry, announces the acquisition of NemBedemand, a funeral ERP editor holding a strong 40% market share in Denmark. This strategic move reinforces Simplifia’s position as a European leader in digital solutions for funeral professionals and mourning families and marks the second external growth transaction, after Marc Justin, since CAPZA entered its capital as a minority shareholder in 2024.
Since 2010, NemBedemand has developed a comprehensive digital platform widely used by Danish funeral homes. The solution streamlines administrative procedures with public authorities, simplifies invoicing and daily operations, and integrates seamlessly with other essential digital tools.
Rasmus Skaarup, NemBedemand’s founder, will join Simplifia as part of the acquisition, bringing his expertise and passion for innovation to the Group. United by a common vision, they aim to digitize and simplify funeral processes for the benefit of both professionals and families.
With the integration of NemBedemand, Simplifia now supports more than 1,200 funeral homes and accompanies over 100,000 bereaved families every year across Europe. The company will leverage this new expertise to accelerate innovation and provide even greater value to funeral professionals.
“This acquisition reflects our shared vision with NemBedemand: to digitize and simplify the funeral profession, enabling professionals to focus on what matters most — supporting families,” said Maxime Nory, CEO of Simplifia.
“I was immediately convinced by Simplifia’s open and collaborative approach. Joining forces allows us to expand our solutions across Europe, innovate together, and support funeral professionals and families more effectively,” added Rasmus Skaarup, Founder of NemBedemand.
“This second acquisition represents an important milestone in Simplifia’s growth journey. We are proud to support the management team in their European expansion and in this new phase of development,” commented Matthieu Dordolo, Partner & Head of CAPZA Growth Tech.
