Artemid supports Saal Digital in its growth strategy
Artemid participated in the arrangement of a senior debt financing to support the international expansion of Saal Digital, a leading player in the high-end photo products market.
Founded in 1981 and based in Röttenbach, Germany, Saal Digital is a vertically integrated global leader in high-end photo printing solutions, specialising in premium photo books, prints, and related products. The company caters primarily to professional photographers and dedicated photo enthusiasts, combining exceptional quality with a seamless user experience.
In recent years, Saal Digital has expanded organically into 26 international markets. While the DACH region remains its core market, strong growth in France, Italy, and Spain highlights the company’s increasing international footprint—and underscores significant potential for further global expansion.
Artemid acted as lead co-arranger in the transaction, alongside a pool of private debt funds and funds, to refinance the existing debt and support further external growth opportunities.
This is Artemid’s 2nd investment in the DACH region, reinforcing its pan-European strategy of supporting resilient companies with solid fundamentals and sustainable growth ambitions.
The funds of the Artemid range are managed by the asset management company CAPZA and advised by Artemid SAS, which is a subsidiary of CAPZA and has financial investment advisor status (CIF in France). Artemid SAS is registered by the Orias under the number 14003497 since the 05/28/2014.
