CAPZA supports Wifirst in reaching a major milestone in Europe

Wifirst is continuing its international expansion with two new acquisitions.

One year after acquiring Hotsplots, german specialist in mobility WiFi, Wifirst is continuing its international expansion with two new acquisitions. The group strengthens its position in Germany with the acquisition of The Cloud Networks (TCN), a historic player in professional WiFi, and expands its presence in the Benelux region with the acquisition of ITT Desk. To support this momentum, Jérôme de Castries joins the group as Chief Revenue Officer.

Two complementary acquisitions for a shared ambition

The acquisition of The Cloud Networks (TCN), based in Munich, marks a strategic milestone in Wifirst’s European expansion. With this move, Germany becomes the group’s second-largest market. TCN brings complementary technical expertise and a portfolio of flagship contracts, including over 800 train stations for Deutsche Bahn, 1,500 TotalEnergies stations, 700 schools in Berlin and Rhineland, as well as partnerships with major retail brands such as Subway, Swarovski, and Hugo Boss. Also active in Scandinavia, TCN enables Wifirst to strengthen its European footprint and unlock new growth opportunities.

Founded in 2008, ITT Desk is a key player in managed WiFi in the Benelux, with strong positions in the healthcare, student housing, and outdoor hospitality sectors. ITT Desk enhances Wifirst’s offering both in terms of vertical markets and technology. Its Ontzorg.net portal, known for its simplicity and efficiency, can be integrated into Wifirst’s portfolio to enrich the user experience and enhance the value of managed services.

With these two acquisitions, Wifirst confirms its leadership in the European market, now operating 12 offices across Europe and more than 420 000 WiFi access points in around 30 countries. This extensive coverage allows Wifirst to meet the needs of large multisite networks and pan-European companies in their digital transformation, thanks to its unique industrial-scale deployment capabilities and cutting-edge technology.

These acquisitions reflect a thorough selection process to identify companies, talent, and expertise that perfectly align with Wifirst’s values of technological and service excellence.
