CAPZA supports Icelake’s Acquisition of quattron and NEXTRAIL
CAPZA announces the arrangement of a Unitranche financing to support the majority acquisition of quattron and NEXTRAIL by funds advised by IceLake.
quattron, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Bamberg, and NEXTRAIL, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Berlin, are prominent providers of strategic and technology consulting for critical infrastructure in the DACH region. Together, they form a vertically integrated service provider offering extensive tech expertise and C-level support throughout the project lifecycle. The Group primarily focuses on the railway, energy, and telecommunication sectors.
The market for critical infrastructure is driven by significant investment needs in modernizing existing infrastructure, launching new projects, and responding to decarbonization and digitalization trends. Thanks to a successful multi-channel strategy and an interdisciplinary team of consultants, engineers, experts and developers (altogether 300+ employees), the Group nurtures unique relationships with a solid base of blue-chip public and private clients through long-term framework contracts.
Financing IceLake’s acquisition, CAPZA will support the Group’s organic growth and targeted acquisitions, both domestically and internationally.
Bertram Schütz, Partner at CAPZA, commented : “We are pleased to support IceLake in bringing together quattron and NEXTRAIL, creating the leading player in critical infrastructure consulting in the DACH region. With strong market dynamics and a solid client base, the Group is well-positioned for growth, and we look forward to supporting its expansion.”
