Audensiel acquires a stake in Cognodata in Spain and Mexico
Audensiel acquires a stake in Cognodata, an expert in Data and Artificial Intelligence, thus strengthening its position as a multi-specialist in these areas. CAPZA and Sagard have supported the Group in this new external growth operation.
European leader in digital transformation, Audensiel is expanding its international presence by acquiring a stake in Cognodata, an expert in Data and Artificial Intelligence for the banking/finance, payments, insurance, healthcare, retail and travel & media sectors.
Cognodata, with over 20 years of experience, has developed high-value SaaS solutions for its customers in Europe and Latin America: CognoPay for payments, CognoMind for the optimization of business processes integrating AI and CognoSpace for marketing automation. Cognodata employs 200 people and will generate €13 million in sales in 2022 from its offices in Madrid and Mexico City.
With this transaction, Audensiel accelerates its international development and strengthens its strategic positioning in the Data/AI business lines with a range of SaaS solutions.
“We are delighted to add the expertise of Cognodata to that of Audensiel, a Group known for its double mastery of business expertise and digital technologies. Audensiel will be a great partner to build relationships with new customers.” – Raul Garcia and Fernando Corbacho, founders of Cognodata.
“We are pleased to welcome the employees of Cognodata. This operation gives a real impetus to our international development with teams whose DNA is identical to ours. Our ambition is to integrate and deploy Cognodata’s innovative solutions offerings into our ecosystem.” – Nicolas Pacault, President of Audensiel.
CAPZA and Sagard have supported the Group in this new external growth operation. For CAPZA, a minority shareholder in Audensiel since September 2019, this is the 4th transaction since it acquired a stake in Audensiel, after Khiplus, Lansrod and ACII. For Sagard, this is the first external growth transaction since entering into exclusive negotiations for the investment in Audensiel’s capital announced in June 2022.
