Dominique Gaillard joins CAPZA
After contributing to the development of Ardian for 23 years and then joining France Invest as President in 2018 to represent the private equity community, support its development and promote it in France and Europe, Dominique Gaillard joins CAPZA.
Alongside Christophe Karvelis-Senn, Executive Chairman and founder of CAPZA, and Laurent Bénard, CEO, Dominique Gaillard will be supporting the growth of CAPZA. He will contribute to the structuring of the platform and to the acceleration of its international development. He will also be a member of the executive team and of the Investment Committees of the different CAPZA strategies.
Created in 2004, CAPZA is a leading player in private investment in SMEs. The company has just passed the €5 billion threshold in assets under management and has deployed nearly €1.7 billion in some thirty SMEs since the beginning of 2020.
CAPZA offers European SMEs flexible financing solutions adapted to the different stages of their development, thanks to a multi-expertise platform (capital and debt), present in four countries (Paris, Munich, Madrid and Milan).
CAPZA has experienced a particularly strong development dynamic in recent years with the creation of new strategies (Expansion, to support the rebound of post-COVID SMEs, and Growth Tech, to develop future tech leaders), a strong increase in assets under management (+50% since the end of 2019), in the size of its team (which has more than 70 professionals), a consolidation of ESG practices and a demonstrated ability to attract new talent. CAPZA ambitions to reach €10 billion in assets in 2025.
“I am delighted that Dominique is joining CAPZA. We have known each other since 1990 and have worked together on many investment projects over the years. His experience of more than 30 years in private equity and his extensive knowledge of the industry are valuable assets to support CAPZA in its upcoming development phase, both in France and internationally”. Christophe Karvelis-Senn, Executive Chairman, CAPZA.
“Dominique’s arrival coincides with a phase of accelerated growth for CAPZA. His insight into the challenges of the private equity industry, as well as his experience in supporting entrepreneurs, will be key to take CAPZA to the next stage of its development, within our ideally positioned platform”. Laurent Bénard, CEO, CAPZA.
“Led by a high quality team, CAPZA has had a remarkable trajectory in recent years. I am looking forward to working with all its teams to continue this great growth story and to contribute to the robust development of the platform and its various expertises”. Dominique Gaillard, Partner, CAPZA.
